Sea Dream Featured in Conde Nast Traveler

My byline isn't on the Sea Dream article published in the latest copy of Conde Nast Traveler magazine, but I'm still glad the article was published. It was written by a contributing editor of the magazine, and does a good job of capturing the essence of Sea Dream, and how it differs from other "cruise ships". Writer Adam Platt, sites several examples of Sea Dream's incredible service, of which, I myself, can attest.

The Sea Dream staff is extraordinary in every way. Two of my own personal examples of exemplary service are the following..... after a brief rain shower passed over the ship one afternoon,  my husband and I went outside to sit on some abandoned chaise lounges. The cushions had already been removed to keep from getting wet, and we were sitting on the bare wood. A waiter noticed us, and quickly approached with apologies, and a pile of towels. He insisted that we allow him to wipe off the loungers, and then layer several others towels on top of each other so that we could rest comfortably on the wooden slatted chairs..... and then he asked us if we would like anything to drink! ....

and here's another one..... the first day we went to breakfast, I asked the waiter if I could have some Bailey's to mix with my coffee. A few  moments later, a small pitcher filled to the brim with Bailey's was brought to our table with a smile. The next morning as we entered the upstairs, outside, dining room, I was greeted by a waiter who quickly reassured me that my Bailey's would be on the table very shortly. (I wasn't even planning to have Bailey's every day, but who can refuse such service?).... on the third morning, Bailey's in a little pitcher was brought to our table as soon as we sat down. Wow! You will be spoiled on a Sea Dream cruise.. but why would anyone object? Reading Plott's article makes me want to sail again .. Sea Dream really IS a different cruising experience, one that I would highly recommend..... Bailey's anyone?

Sea Dream is a Dream Come True

Our ship was to sail in three days, so my husband and I took advantage of the extra time to explore St. Martin. I was intrigued that the island was half French and half Dutch, and we enjoyed visiting what seemed to be two different countries. We would have loved to stay longer, but we had limited time this trip. On February 26th, we
were to embark on a very special cruise.

As the taxi dropped us off at the port in Galisbay and I saw our ship, the Sea Dream II, I knew this was going to be different from any other cruise we had ever been on. There were no lines of people waiting to board, and as we walked up the gangway, we were offered a glass of champagne and personally greeted by the ship’s captain and several of his officers.
